We offer two types of programsDemonstrations and Live Assemblies.  The programs listed below are available for libraries. 

Potions (Theme - Dry Ice)
**Halloween Theme 2007**

On the outskirts of school grounds, sits a building named Doolittle, which contains a hidden underground laboratory.  And as the story goes, Doolittle is watched by a ferocious guard determined to protect its mysteries forever.  Join us as we learn about the concept of matter, its three states (solid, liquid, and gas), and how to change matter from one state to another by telling the tale of Doolittle as we discover the secrets of this hidden laboratory, perform narrow escapes, witness surprising discoveries, and reveal an unbelievable ending.  With screaming quarters, jets of gas to taste, popping potions, incredible showers of smoke-filled bubbles, and buckets of fog, discover how all of this is created by the two “coolest” things in the world...Dry Ice and Imagination!  This demonstration is suitable for all ages.

The Legend of Lavender Lake (Theme - Liquid Nitrogen)
**Summer Reading Theme 2007**

One hundred years ago on a cold dark night, the Legend of Lavender Lake was born.  And each year since, beneath the glow of the pale moon light, the Legend has grown.  But now this quiet lake community has become a popular vacation site, trying to cover up the mysteries of the past!  Join us as we learn about the science of Liquid Nitrogen by telling the tale of Lavender Lake using experiments that will freeze, shatter, fog, and much more.  This is one mystery that will send a chill down your spine!  This demonstration is suitable for ages 5-12.

Pirates - The Curse of the Mutating Hand (Theme - Liquid & Density)
**NEW for 2007**

In a time when pirates sailed the seven seas, there was one pirate who was feared the most. His name was Hendricks the Hand and he was cursed with a mutating hand.  But this curse gave him power and now seeking to become unstoppable he must return to the place that cursed him…The Black Cave.  In an attempt to protect the seas, the famous pirate James Dauer gathered a crew which included quartermaster Sam Sullivan and set sail for The Black Cave!  Join us as we learn about the science of Liquid & Density by telling the tale of The Curse of the Mutating Hand.  By boiling water in a paper cup, crushing a can with only water, creating a mutating hand, and exploding bottles through evaporation, see if James Dauer can stop Hendricks before its too late!  This demonstration is suitable for ages 5-12.

The Mystery of Locker 200 (Theme - Dry Ice)
**Halloween Theme 2006**

Deep in the halls of Black River Elementary, the Mystery of Locker 200 has been kept secret for years.  But all that is about to change as two students on Halloween Night discover that Locker 200 is more than just a locker…it’s a portal to another world!  Join us as we learn about the science of Dry Ice by telling the tale of the Mystery of Locker 200.  Using Dry Ice Experiments with water, soap, PVC, plastic, and more, discover why the Mystery of Locker 200 should have stayed hidden!  This demonstration is suitable for all ages. 

The Jungle of Jersey (Theme - Everyday Science)
**Summer Reading Theme 2006**

When Doug hears that there might be a better place to live than where he is now, he can’t pass up the opportunity to find it.  However, there are three problems: he is a dog, he lives in a pet store, and he must somehow get through the Jungle of Jersey!  Join us as we learn about everyday science by telling this tale of animal adventure using smoke rings, disappearing water, flying eggs, and sound effects directly from the “Jungle” itself.  With help from friends both old and new along the way, see if Doug can make it through the Jungle of Jersey…before Rush Hour!  This demonstration is suitable for all ages.

The Planet of the Others (Theme - Space, Fire, & Light)
**NEW for 2006**

In a future with space travel, force fields, and technology beyond understanding, the Earth that you know, no longer exists!  You see, tension is mounting on Earth between the peaceful northern hemisphere and the renegade southern hemisphere.  Desperate to save his hemisphere from the powerful General Stare and the South, the President of the North sends Larkin, his only daughter and her pilot, Lt. Lightspeed to retrieve important technology from the Planet of the Others.  Join us as we learn about the science of Fire & Light by telling the tale of the Planet of the Others.  Using lasers, flash paper, firework glasses, exploding bottles, and much more, discover whether Larkin and Lightspeed will make it back to Earth in time!  This demonstration is suitable for ages 5-12.

Sundown on Sycamore Street (Theme - Air Pressure)
**Halloween Theme 2005**

On the edge of town there is a street call Sycamore, which holds a frightening secret.  So terrible is the legend of Sycamore Street that every child in town knows never to get caught there after dark.  But Bill and his sister Terry just moved into town and they were never told!  Join us as we learn about the science of gas and air pressure by telling the tale of Bill and Terry’s adventure through town as they chase floating ghosts, hide from town bullies, and escape from danger.  Using fiery spiders, exploding water jugs, floating eyeballs, a whirlwind of toilet paper, and amazing dry ice experiments, discover why Sycamore Street at sundown is a very scary place!  This demonstration is suitable for all ages.

Dragons & Dreams (Theme - Fire & Ice)
**Summer Reading Theme 2005**

With castles, kings, a dragon keeper, an Ice Sorceress, the Horn of Fire, two villagers, and a daring journey to save the entire kingdom, enjoy this spectacular adventure as we're swept away to a world where dragons are real, dreams come true, and only the most daring of people will survive to tell the tale!  Join us as we learn about the science of Fire & Ice by telling a tale of Dragons & Dreams using experiments of flash paper, exploding bottles, "cool" dry ice, and much more.  Wouldn't dragon's breath be an amazing sight!?!
